I've got a proud history of working with the Unity Public Library and I'm excited to announce that I'm giving the inaugural talk in the Library's Lunchtime Learning Speaker Series.
My talk is entitled, "But I have Nothing To Hide."
This will be an introductory guide on how to keep your identity and your personal data safe online.
We'll cover simple tips and technology that will assist in your endeavor to remain anonymous. Plus, we'll cover some of the threat models you should understand.
The tips and tech I'll recommend include using password managers like Bitwarden, end-to-end encrypted messaging services like Signal, tools like Proton, a secure email and cloud service, and more.
These recommendations are backed by my decades of experience in the IT field as well as modern guidelines from CISA, the FBI, and NIST.
Join us on Friday, January 17th at Mammie's Country Kitchen in Unity for my talk and I hope to see you there!
And thank you to Jean Bourg for the opportunity to share my expertise on this subject.
